Featured readers will include winners from the two 2001 KotaPress Anthology Contest including Judith L. Wyatt, Barney F. McClelland, Janet Mae Best, Janet I. Buck, Malama MacNeil, Rebecca Ingalls, Victory Lee Schouten, Tom Flynn, Cassidy Rowe. These authors will be published in the KotaPress Poetry Anthology, Volume 2. Other featured readers will include John Fox, author of Poetic Medicine, and Dr. Elizabeth Gray, producer of Conversing with Mystery. Donations at the door and proceeds from purchases made that evening will go toward the Mrs. Duck Project providing free grief support books to families around the world who are enduring the death of a baby.

  • Smart Alecky Remarks by Psychotherapists (Are these wake-up calls?)

  • Book Reviews on the Therapeutic Experience or Mental Health

Guidelines for The Psychoanalytic Experience: Analysands Speak

  • No religious material or rhymed poems
  • Poems - not over 40 lines
  • Essays, Memoirs, Diaries: 1,000 - 1500 words
  • Non-fiction fragments: 100 - 200 word paragraphs
  • Fiction: 2500 words or less
  • Analysands in History: well-researched 1000-word essays
  • Stories of Confinement - 2,000 words
  • Book Reviews - 1500 words
  • Simultaneous submissions: ok
  • Previously published work: ok, with citation
  • No attachments
  • 100-word author bio
  • All rights revert back to author immediately, but if first published by The Psychoanalytic Experience, please cite
  • Check spelling and grammar before sending work out. It is often wise to workshop material before submitting or have a writing buddy look it over
  • Permission letter to publish work required
  • Material sent should be written by you
  • Non-paying market
