The man in the moon
By Kathleen Redling

As I leaned back
in my porch chair
At twilight's chance

A crescent moon
peeked through
the oval portico…

Constellations of
the night sky,
Architects' design.

Realism dawned
On the distant stars
Of pointed prophecy…

Determined dreams dusted
Passage of existence
Merely for the silver moonbeam
