By Frank Joussen
weeks after she'd died
I sat thinking about why
she was still there
when my wife left our flat
the light in the corridor
shone on
long after
she'd gone.
maybe that's what remains,
more than hollow echoes:
that light in the corridor
and then...
the memory of light.
