Mother’s Day Angel
By Cathy Gonzalez

I have a special child
Who I speak to each and every day
The only major difference is
I do it in a special way

On Mother’s Day
He sends me wishes and signals all
Through the day
I feel his presence and receive his love
I feel his closeness like wearing a glove

For you see
My child is an Angel
Looking down and wishing me
A Happy Mother’s Day

Editor's Note: Cathy is mommy to Jason, and we thank her for this contribution. Mother's Day and Father's Day are difficult days for bereaved parents, and we hope that publishing works like this will provide a respite from the Hallmark happy-la-la land we endure on these made up holidays.
