KotaPress, September 2002

Dearest Readers & Contributors,

This month we have many perspectives in poetry, from a look at fundamentalism to miscarriage, from 9/11 remembered to the fall of an evening star. We are featuring Janie Starr and her new book Bone Marrow Boogie about the terrors of cancer and ultimate survival. We are talking to Kimberly Lindbergs "Behind the Scenes" where she shares some of her amazing work and some very personal insights to her own process of grief and creativity.

And I'd like to ask all of you to consider the continuation of my editor's letter to be the article featured this month in our Poetry Therapy column...I'd just be repeating myself here otherwise. It's not an easy time to live out and admit as a culture that we are living constantly in the aftermath of grief. Please read the Poetry Therapy column to find out about my perspective and the consequent tone of this month's issue. Thanks!

Miracles to you,

Kara L.C. Jones, Dakota's Mommy
