I do not support this f---ing war. I did not vote for Bush. I think enough people died in 9/11 and no more should die now. Bottom line is this: I've cremated my son already. I do not want other american, british, nor iraqi mothers cremating their children now. And I especially don't want them doing it in my name as an "american." Violence, war, and more dead children do not avenge 9/11, do not fix any world problems, and do not hold any answers that I want to be a part of in any way, shape, nor form. So it is time to demand that the violence end. It is time to demand truly elected officials who will work toward peace and non-violent solutions. It is time to make noise, get naked, commit civil disobedience, and MODEL FOR THE WORLD WHAT PEACE AND PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS LOOK LIKE!!! If we don't model peace, how will anyone learn to do it? And one last comment on this: If Bush thinks sending our children to death in this war is such a great solution, then his two daughers should be on the front lines in Iraq to risk their lives first. If he can't do that, then don't send anyone else's kids, buddy! GET A CLUE, MR. BUSH!! And anyone reading who is looking for peaceful solutions, check out these links: http://www.poetsagainstthewar.org If you are on our island, then check out the folks fasting for peace up on the green across from the Methodist Church. Come to the Peace March from Village Green to the fasting tent tomorrow (Sunday, March 23rd). Check out the naked ladies for peace on the Baring Witness site -- they sat down at Pt. Robinson. Check out the photos in the last Ticket of the candlelight vigil from last weekend. Do something, anything to call for peace! Miracles to you, Kara
