Who We Are
We are Kara and Hawk Jones, and we live and work on a small island in Puget Sound. We co-founded KotaPress together, and it has been a most positive way to process and transform the grief that came when our son Dakota died in 1999. I [Kara] am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, a published writer, sometimes actress, creative teacher, professional henna & design artist, and a Reiki Master. Hawk has travelled the world singing, done morning drive-time as a talk jock, played guitar in cafes far and wide, had his digital art internationally published, discovered his talent for photography as almost a postscript to his work, and is a HOPE Mentor for MISS.
